참가자들은 계곡에 고립된 구조대상자를 안전하게 구조하는 훈련을 비롯해 급류와 계곡 지형을 활용한 수난구조기법을 숙달하고, 로프를 활용한 구조대상자 이송 절차를 반복 점검했다. 또한 기관별 역할을 명확히 구분하고 합동 대응절차를 확인하는 등 현장 대응체계를 집중적으로 점검했다.
