이번 프로그램은 미래 세대인 청소년들에게 지방자치의 중요성과 지방의회의 역할을 알리고, 지역사회 구성원으로서 시민 역량과 주민 참여 의식을 키우기 위해 마련됐다.

 

이날 의회교실은 ▲시의회 역할 및 기능 소개 ▲의회 홍보영상 시청 ▲학생 주도형 모의의회 체험 ▲기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다.

 

특히 학생들은 직접 선정한 안건을 바탕으로 찬반 토론과 표결 과정을 체험하며 실제 지방의회의 의사결정 절차를 경험했다. 학생들은 각자 역할을 맡아 의견을 제시하고 토론에 참여하며 민주적 의사결정 과정의 의미와 중요성을 배우는 시간을 가졌다.
