이번 설명회는 서울시가 추진 중인 동부간선도로 지하화 사업 중 민간투자사업으로 시행하는 구간의 월릉IC 진출입부 계획과 향후 공정에 대한 안내를 포함하여 주민 의견을 청취하고 지역 상생 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

 

동부간선도로 지하화 민간투자사업은 2024년 착공, 2029년 개통을 목표로 하며, 중랑구 월릉IC부터 군자역과 청담까지 연결되어 지역 접근성과 도심 간 연계성이 크게 향상될 전망이다.
