먼저 공감 주간 첫날인 18일에는 장애인들의 경제적 자립 기반을 마련하기 위해 ‘자립’을 주제로 시각장애인 한빛예술단의 ‘공감음악회’와 ‘장애인 일자리박람회’가 진행된다. 약 30개 구인 기업과 300여 명의 구직 장애인이 참여해 현장 면접과 취업 컨설팅 등의 시간을 갖는다. 아울러 장애 인식개선 캠페인과 중증장애인 생산품 홍보 등 장애 공감 인식개선 부스도 함께 마련된다. 공감음악회는 중랑구청 지하대강당에서, 박람회는 중랑구청 중앙광장에서 진행된다.
