신천지자원봉사단 구리지부(지부장 강창훈)는 6일 남양주시 일패동 현충탑에서 '제7회 나라사랑 평화나눔' 행사를 개최했다.

 

이번 행사는 6·25 참전유공자들이 역사 속에서 사라지고 있는 이때, 대한민국을 이끌어 온 영웅들을 가슴 깊이 기억하고자 추진됐다.

이날 코로나19 방역 수칙을 준수한 가운데 묵념과 헌화로 산화한 호국영령과 숭고한 희생정신을 추모하고, 대한민국 6·25 참전 유공자회에 감사패와 선물을 전달했다.

행사에 참석한 6.25 참전용사 안태진(남양주 6.25 참전용사회 회장) 씨는 사진전을 보며 "올해가 벌써 6·25전쟁 71주년이 되었다. 학도병으로 참전했던 때가 생각나 감회가 새롭다”며 “남은 여생은 전쟁 없는 평화로운 세상을 만드는데 바치겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
